Workshop "GIS of Byzantium" On June 14th and 15th 2013, an international workshop on the application of Historical Geographical Information Systems for Byzantine history will take place at the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum in Mainz, organised by the Museum (Dir. Prof. Falko Daim), the University of Mainz (Prof. Dr. Anton Escher, Prof. Dr. Johannes Pahlitzsch) and the Division for Byzantinie Research of the Austrian Academy (Doz. Dr. Mihailo Popovic).
