Workshop on Asylum and deportation The increasing horrors of deportation confronting migrants and Refugees in Europe necessiates a constant platform for exchange amongst Refugees and Asylum seekers. Although numerous events against deportation exist at different levels, there is the need for affected persons to inform, network and connect themselves with the existing resistance against the brutal deportation practices. The workshop is meant to address vast issues on EU Asylum policies which we intend to address in two aspects: Informative: Interviews conducted with more than 500 Refugees identifies institiutionalised structure of Refugee Isolation as a calculated attempt to deprive refugees from information that has caused massive trauma and frustration confronting Refugees in this country. It is based on this fact that this Informative aspect will address various issues on the Asylum process from a legal perspective. Political Aspect: This aspect will usher in the political situation that creates refugees, the institiutionalised structure of the isolation as preceeding deportation. Exchanges on the ongoing dynamics of the Refugee struggles with a view to empower self-determination and networking amongst refugees within the Region will be analysed.
