World Coal News Friday, 19 December 14 U.S Weekly Coal Production Reached Approximately 19.8 MMST; Up 1.0% WOW According to EIA latest report, United States as the worlds second largest coal manufacturer produced about 19.8 million short tons (mmst) of coal in a week (For the week ended Dec 13, 2014). This production rate shows a 1.0% increase than last week and 9.6% increase than same week of 2013.According to Dec 18, EIAs report annual US coal production is 944.6 mmst which shows 0.6% increase than 2013. The total coal production of East of the Mississippi River is 8.0 mmst (up 2.56% week on week) and west of the Mississippi River is 11.8 mmst (flat week on week). Total coal production in November 2014 is about 78.4 million short tons of coal which shows 0.0 % decrease than the same month in 2013 and 8.41 % decrease on monthly basis.
