World Cup Group H Betting Preview Hey Folks, As the World Cup - TopicsExpress

World Cup Group H Betting Preview Hey Folks, As the World Cup seems to be a bit like the Grand National where everyone has a bet I will post this here. I find writing a betting preview is a great way to focus in on analyzing a bet. Belgium (Fifa 11th), Russia (Fifa 22nd), South Korea (Fifa 54th) and Algeria (Fifa 26th) have been drawn in Group H in what on paper looks to be one of the more evenly matched groups. Belgium current generation of players are fast becoming their golden generation which is represented in the outright betting market where the bookmakers have installed them as fifth favourites to lift the trophy after they are the third most improved team in the Fifa rankings over the last year. While Belgium’s main striker Christian Benteke is injured they can call upon Romelu Lukaku who has had a solid season in the Premier League. They have a lot of players that Premier League fans will be familiar with such as Vincent Kompany and Chelseas player of the year, Eden Hazard alongside this summers main transfer saga topic Thibaut Courtois The new Russian manager, Fabio Capello has instilled a greater unity into this current group of Russian players and they finished ahead of a good Portuguese team in qualifying. Their main strength is in defense where they conceded just 5 goals in 10 qualifying games. Aleksander Kerzhakov is their main goalscorer and will get a good supply from an extremely well organised team. Another player to watch out for is Alan Dzagoev who scored 3 goals in Euro 2012 and will be an important part of Russias attack which can change tactics when needed against the smaller more defensively minded teams in the group. Both Belgium and Russia took top spot in their respective qualifying groups with neither having lost a single game. Belgium won 8 and drew 2 of their games, all of which they scored in and never conceded more than once. South Korea have had a poor run of games with 10 defeats in their last 22 games and are no longer the same quality as the team that that reached the semi finals in 2002. They have failed to qualify for the knockout stage in six of the eight WorldCup tournaments they have qualified for. Korea barely qualified for the World Cup as they got in on goal difference against Uzbekistan in a group which the mighty Iran won. Only Australia is ranked lower in the tournament than Korea. Heung-Min Son plays at Bayer Leverkusen and is a top quality creative midfielder who will be the focal point of the team, however both Belgium and Russia are extremely strong defensively in the area of the pitch where he dictates the game in the Bundesliga. Algeria have a number of talented younger players coming through the ranks however they are still largely untested at international level, especially on the largest stage of all. They were the last African qualifiers, beating Burkina Faso 1-0 in the second leg of their play-off to advance on away goals after a 3-2 first-leg defeat. Historically Algerias most promising players have chosen to play for France with such players as Zinedine Zidane, Karim Benzema and Samir Nasri slipping through Algerias net. Algeria qualified from an extremely weak group that included Mali, Benin and Rwanda. Their most important player is defender Madjid Bougherra who currently plays his football in Doha. The most important match in this group to determine who progresses is the first round match between Russia and Korea. A draw in this match should be more than enough to have our bet come in without a sweat. Recommended Bet: Belgium & Russia Dual Forecast @ 2.1 (BetVictor) *Dual Forecast is the two teams to qualify for the knockout stages, in any order. bit.ly/PuntersHangout Another Bet I like is *Brazil To Reach The Semi Final* @ 1.83 which can be doubled with the above bet at Paddy Power at odds of 3.66 but I had to ring in to place the bet as the online betting slip recognizes the bet as being related and wont allow you to double these online. Good Luck and enjoy the World Cup!
