World War One 28th June Timetable. Hi guys, Below is the timetable of events for the night of the 28th June (Subject to change) Again, we need any memorabilia from WW1 for the Museum, And we also need volunteers to help on the night from people management, to selling sandwhiches, making cakes or help with parking. Please visit the shop to volunteer or write your name below. 28th June 2014 8pm - Biplane flyover by an SE5 made in 1917 will flyin over the village flying over okehampton train station, across the valley over Northlew, will do a couple of circuits and then fly up to Ashbury station then return to Dunkerswell airfield. 8:15pm - Bishop of crediton will do a short reading followed by our own vicar Ruth followed by the local Minister nigel, short prayer. 8:35pm - Short reading of Trench Poems and history - reason for remembrance. 8:45pm - Parade, This will be lead by a teenager dressed in WW1 uniform on Horseback, followed by the remaining Devonshire regiment with standards, Followed by Royal British Legion and chelsea pensioners. Followed by Devon Drums, Followed by HMS Drake, Followed by scouts. They will march down station road from Carmel Coaches, onto the square and stand at the front by the pub where a number of military songs will be performed by HMS Drake and Devon Drums. 9:10pm - Ode to rememberence done by Barry Ware followed by the last post by bugle performed by The Devonshire regiment. 9:15pm - Northlew Primary school - Short biography of the soldiers who fought researched by the children from school records. 9:25pm - Roll call of the fallen - Regiment and place of death. 9:30pm - Short speech by the deputy secretary of Defence, Mel Stride MP and the Mayor. 9:40pm - 3D Projection Starts. 10:00pm - Finish
