#WorldAIDSDay One child loses a parent to AIDS every 15 seconds. AIDS is a crucial factor for children, particularly in Africa where a significant part of world’s orphan population are haused, to lose their parents. Children in the world who lost their parents to AIDS 15.1 million live in Sub-Saharan African countries. It is estimated that the number of children losing parents to AIDS will reach 25 million in 2015. From that point of view, AIDS is an illness that grows and costs lives rapidly. The children who lose their parents due to AIDS also happen to face extreme chronic poverty and become refugees. IHH is providing shelter and education to vulnerable children who are infected with HIV in both Africa and Asia.
