Worlds Greatest Dad (2009) – Ive seen many Robin Williams movies popping up recently, for obvious reasons, and while most of them I know, several of them I love, this one had somehow eluded me. It was an offbeat sort of film, with some funny moments and a slightly depressing overtone. Over all a very interesting watch if youre in the mood for thought provoking, medium to slow paced flick. What really got me about the film, in light of recent circumstances, was a scene toward the very end of the film. Without giving anything away I would just like to mention the amazing expressiveness of Robin Williams face in a certain watery scene. Such a look made me wonder what experiences he drew on to mirror such a feeling of relief and perhaps joy. I admit, it made me tear up, thinking of how if he might have been able to recall whatever helped him to show such an emotion, well maybe it would have prevented some pain. In any case, if youre a fan, its definitely worth a watch.
