Worshiping the True Creator God How can you tell whether you’re worshiping the True Creator God? God wants us to worship Him as the true Creator God (Rev. 14:7; Exodus 20:3). But again how can we worship Him this way? Answer: if God wants us to worship Him as the Creator God, as described in Revelation 14:7, all we need to do is to commit ourselves to that which exalts Him as the Creator. And frankly speaking it is the Sabbath that exalts God as the true Creator. Here is the Bible record: “So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day God had finished His work of creation, so He rested from all his work. God blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from his work of creation” Genesis 2:1-3. You see, both here we find that God is exalted as the true Creator─not Evolution Theories─and Revelation 14:7 also exalts the Creator God as the only God worthy of our worship (John 1:1; Psalm 33:6). In fact, both the book of Genesis and Revelation are connected to each other. The first book ‘Genesis’ refers to the Beginning and the last book ‘Revelation’ refers to/reveals the End. But both of them share the SAME THING: The Creation Work of God. They both refer to God as the Creator; the book of Genesis refers to the Creator in the Beginning and the book of Revelation refers to the Creator in the End-times. But they both declare that only the Creator is worthy of our worship (Acts 14:15). The Sabbath Is For Your Own Good Now Genesis 2:2, 3 tells that God “…rested from all his work of creation.” This is as if God was tired for creating the universe. But this is not so (Isaiah 40:28). When we turn to the NT book of Mark for explanation, we understand why God instituted this literal Seventh-day Sabbath of rest. Mark 2:27 “…The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath.” Jesus said that to the people in his era, because the religious leaders had disfigured the meaning of the Sabbath. Yes, even today the meaning of the Sabbath is not understood by many because its meaning, in a way, has been disfigured among God’s people. But Jesus, our Savior, made it clear that God by resting on this literal and wonderful Sabbath Day, He was establishing it “to meet the needs of people” not to burden the people’s lives. Yes, God plans are for your own good, and not for disaster (Jere. 29:11). When Adam and Even were banished from the presence of God because of sin, they were exiled into a cursed and thorny ground (Genesis 3:17-19). They and their descendants would have to struggle to make a living until returning to the ground out of which they were made (death). Their lives would be stressful and burdened. Now in the long run, they would realize that only in returning to God, would they find rest for their souls. That’s why Jesus said “Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burden, and and I will you rest.” Matthew 11:28. God is merciful. He calls to everyone, and whoever responds to His calling, will find rest for his soul. Do you hear God’s calling in your life? God says “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved.” Isaiah 30:15. Yes, we need to stop wandering /straying away from God, for we will just hurt ourselves like the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-24). Though as in the Prodigal Son, let us return to our Creator and worship Him as the only True Creator God by keeping His Seventh-day Sabbath Holy. Throughout week cycle, when Sabbath Day comes, let us rest with our Creator as He rested at Creation. YES, LET US ACCEPT THE REST HE OFFERS FOR OUR SOULS!! The Sabbath against Idolatry God knew that banishing Adam and Eve from His presence─this exile─instead of just causing death, would also cause them to lose the sight of their Maker. Their descendants would be corrupted into accepting things that are not God as their Maker. “They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served things God created instead of the Creator Himself, who is worthy of eternal praise. Amen!” Romans 1:25. Yes, because of sin the descendants of Adam and Eve would utterly forget the Creation Work of their God. These descendants of Abraham, in their Egyptian Slavery, would not remember the Creator God at all! Instead, they were exposed to the false gods of Egypt, such as “Sun gods” (Idolatry). So, on saving them from their slavery, God had to remind them of His Creation Work of the Universe, which identifies the true God (Jeremiah 10:11-16). His everlasting Law─the Ten Commandments─would be given to them in stone tablets. And in the 1st 4 Commandments, we find our love for God the Creator. In the 2nd six Commandments, we find our love our neighbors or one another (Mark 12:28-31). In the fourth Commandment God reminded them of Himself as the only True Creator God worthy of worship as proclaims the 1st Angel of Revelation (Rev. 14:7). Here is the Bible Record: “Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You’ve six days each week for your ordinary work, but the Seventh day is the Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work…For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set apart as holy.” Exodus 20:8-11. Here God brings His Creation Work to their sight, causing them to worship Him as the True Creator God as found in Rev. 14:7. God commands them to rest on the Seventh-day Sabbath as He, the Creator, rested from all His Sixth-day Creation Work. No longer are they to be oppressed by the Egyptians! They are to rest as God their only Maker rested at Creation. This is very important. Because God’s people were enslaved into hard-working without rest for their souls, but now that they are saved, God says “Keep my Sabbath days holy, for they are a sign to remind you that I am the Lord your God.” Ezekiel 20:20. The Sabbath and the Coming Judgment of the Creator God Ezekiel 20:20 tells clearly that the only way we can know whether we are the true people of the true God is only through keeping the Sabbath Day holy, which is both the Memorial of the Creation Work of God and the only sign or seal of the creator, reminding us that we are the few chosen ones of God. According to the Scriptures, the Living God has a Seal, which before the End of the world/Destruction of this sinful world takes place, He must place upon the foreheads of His Servants, the forehead symbolizing the mind (see Revelation 7:1-3, 9, 10). And Ezekiel 20:12 clearly states that this Seal or Sign is the Law of God together with Sabbath, which identifies the Lord as the only true and Creator God (see also Romans 4:11; Isaiah 8:16). On the contrary, Satan, the human agency, has a mark as well, as opposed to the Sabbath─the true seal of the Living God. This Evil mark is called “the Mark of the Beast”, Beast symbolizing the human kingdom where Satan rules (see Revelation 13; Daniel 7:23-25; Luke 4:5-7). This mark of the Beast is really against God’s Seal, the Sabbath! Why? It’s because the Sabbath exalts God as the true Creator and Owner of this world. So, Satan_the usurper_ knowing that, he seeks to trample down the Sabbath. He doesn’t want the Living God to be exalted as the true Creator and Owner of this world. Rather, he wants to rule this world and calls himself the King of this world. To Christ in the wilderness, he said that he was the owner of this world (Luke 4:5-7). Actually, the Apostle Paul called the Devil “the god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4), still the Apostle John said “the one deceiving the whole world” (Revelation 12:7-9). This is why Satan doesn’t want anybody to receive the Sabbath truth─God’s Seal onto their foreheads/minds. Instead, he deceives people into accepting his counterfeit authority, making people keep another day instead of the Seventh-day Sabbath. This is his mark─the Mark of the beast─the Mark of Satan’s authority. As multitudes of people keep Sunday holy “the day of the Pagan Sun worship”, they exalt the creature (Sun=idolatry) instead of the true Creator God, who would save them from his coming judgment. This is what Paul said about them “They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served things God created instead of the Creator Himself, who is worthy of eternal praise. Amen!” Romans 1:25. Oh how terrible! Judgment is indeed at hand. Remember, the Angel said “worship the Creator God, not the creature. If you worship the creature, you will surely be judged” (Rev. 14:7). And the third angel says “Anyone who worships the beast and his statue or who accepts his mark on the forehead or on the hand must drink the wine of God’s anger. It has been poured out full strength into God’s cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb. The smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever, and they will have no relief day or night, for they have worshiped the beast and his statue and have accepted the mark of his name.” Rev. 14:9-11 NLT. You see, this is a matter of life or death. But you and I should be forever saved. So, let us listen to the Appeal of the Heavenly Voice “Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her” Revelation 18:4. Will you come out? Oh friend, let us worship the True Creator God as exalted in the Sabbath Truth.
