For my money (literally), this is the best-thought-out think tank (or whatever you want to call it) out there. Obviously certain aspects will not be immediately achievable, as without independence we do not have the autonomy to enact some elements of their vision. Nevertheless, what I like about the Common Weal is its scope. It realises that all aspects of policy are interlinked. You cannot address poverty without addressing job creation, address pensions without addressing banking regulation, and so on. Unfortunately, scope is expensive, and getting your voice heard on such a broad range of issues even more so, so please donate something. £5 coming from a million people is as good as £5 Million coming from one. The difference being that one person then exerts undue influence to get their own agenda pushed, whereas a million people will exert an influence that represents a huge proportion of the population.
