Would anyone on here be interested in a humanely-raised veal calf? Hed be slaugthered at about 6 months old. Raised on lots of raw goats milk, non-GMO alfalfa and some pasture (until it quit growing) - NO grain. He came from an organic dairy. As a veal calf, he would also escape castration and dehorning. Hes about 200 lbs live, and Im figuring youd get about 50% yield, if you wanted a lot of soup bones and organs, youd get more. He is a Jersey (that Im told are delicious) so there will be lots of bone for bone stock. Still working on pricing, but looks like the price will be comparable to the average grocery store prices per pound of meat, plus butcher fees. Im a fledgling farmer, so you would be supporting a starving farmer!
