Would like everyone to help me wish the most wonderful and best husband, David a very Happy Birthday today, even tho hes working so he can provide us a nice living. He was off yesterday and we went to Oakville to watch Nick and Austin run. Its so funny how things change but stay the same. When the kids were in school and in sports he worked 2nd shift and missed out on a lot of their functions and now that the grandkids are older and involved in sports hes back on 2nd shift and will probably miss out on a lot of their activities. We love to be able to go and support them whenever we can. Nick ran a good race yesterday without incident ran a 18:37 I think and was very happy said he felt like he just won state, so he has a goal now to run around 18:00 in sectionals and the high 17s in State, help me to wish him much luck and success. Austin also did a great job he has improved his time with each race but just fell a couple seconds short yesterday with a 21:30, they only take 10 to sectionals and he was 11th one of his friends passed him at the finish so he was just a little upset. I was sad to see him hurting cause your heart hurts with them, but glad to see hes starting to care and I let him know that I was very proud of what he has accomplished and he just has to keep on keeping on and getting better with each race. I heard Nick Saban say yesterday that he always encourages his players to not just be ordinary but to strive to be extraordinary and thats what I want for all my grandsons. So reach for the Moon Nick, Austin, Andrew, Carter, and Dawson even if you miss youll fall among the stars. Love you all you own my heart.
