Would like to invite you all to come to the 2nd Annual Warren County YMCA Midgets 10-U Baseball Tournament. Saturday July 20th , 2013 If you can pass this along to any other small 10- u teams in the area please do. Box 527 700 West Harlem Monmouth, Il 61462 • USSSA Rules will be followed with the following additions and/or exceptions. • Be ready to play 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time • No player may play if born prior to May 1st , 2002. • Six inning games except: 1. No inning will start after 1 hr. and 25 minutes have elapsed. Clock will be kept by Umpire 2. After 3 ½ innings, the ten run rule will apply. 3. Game is tied after 6 innings or time limit is reached • Coin flip will determine the home team. Home team will keep the official book! • Bases: 60ft. Pitching: 44ft. • You may bat a continuous batting order if you prefer. You may play 10 in the field but only 6 allowed on infield. • If a team is head by more than 10 runs before the 10 run rule applies you may only bat through your line up one time. • No infield practice before games, no balls on the infield between innings, & only 3 warm-up pitches per inning. • NO infield fly rule. • No lead offs but stealing is allowed (cannot leave until the ball crosses home plate). If a player leaves a base before the ball reaches the batter, and is called on by the umpire, the runner will be called out. • Open home plate. • Big Barrel Bats may be used as long as they are no bigger than 2 ¾” and no longer than 36” in length and must have the proper approved USSSA stamp. • No metal cleats. • Courtesy runner allowed for catcher only after two outs. • Good sportsmanship is expected throughout the tournament. PITCHING RULES • No player may pitch more than three innings per game and they must be consecutive innings. • Pitcher must rest one inning for every inning pitched. (Kept by official scorekeeper.) • One pitch is considered one inning. • If removed from the mound for any reason the player may not return to pitch in that game! Concession stand available!
