Would this oil painting by the well known Paul Deacon of SS Uganda be of any interest to anybody? I am sadly looking to possibly sell as I do not have the space to display. This is the one and only piece of art I have ever owned but when I see it a few years ago I just had to buy it. This work as been comfirmed by Paul himself and he replied to me about it with the following Hello…yes I painted it most likely somewhere between 1984 & 1990…I recollect doing as a commission for someone whos son was on it when it was commandeered for the Falklands war. The vessel was at the end of its cruise ship life & quickly pressed into service as a hospital ship in the South Atlantic. After the war she lay for some years rusting away on deepwater moorings up the river Fal in Cornwall Obviously that may not be 100% factual to the movements of the SS Uganda but that is Pauls knowledge of it from a conversation we had over a year ago. Sorry if this is not allowed on here but thought some people with interest in SS Uganda may apriciate seeing this. All the best Jamie
