Would you want anyone to say this about you? 1 Corinthians 3:1 But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. 2I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, 3for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? Yes, the church in America seems plagued by spiritual infancy. May we not be content simply being an infant or a child in the faith. Our prayer at Journey is that we would all desire to grow up to be parents in the faith. Weekend services certainly help that, but spiritual growth has to be a lifestyle. A Holy Spirit empowered desire to be in the word daily, to pray, to be involved with others in gospel community, and to live a life on mission.
