Wouldnt it be awesome if one of the 6 media companies just out-of-the-blue decided to take a chance and create a channel that put out sitcoms and different serious shows (that arent about solving crime) that require intelligence to understand, where everything doesnt have to be spoonfed to the audience, no canned laughter, and with scenarios that have more of a real-life flow to them? And if they dont treat everyone like theyre intelligent, at least how about shows with people who live very differently than most of society? And without them caring if its not a HUGE moneymaker, just putting the stuff out anyway since they make enough money everywhere else. Not gonna happen, but still, its nice to dream... Like, for sitcoms (live action), imagine these scenarios: People living on a commune or a co-op and all the stuff that comes with it Outrageous people who live above a really loud dance club in a really active part of a large city A sitcom that has characters that basically poke fun at every redneck stereotype out there and takes the whole thing to extremes The life of homeless people and show how shitty society often treats people, but with humor so its palatable Silly outrageous shows where, like, people live in a small town in a community where all these brand new houses look the same, and theres a central area outside where people can meet up, have picnics, take the dogs out to crap, etc., but its ridiculously diverse in an over-the-top manner--almost like the Smurfs--you have the fundie Christian, the fundie Muslim, the racist redneck with confederate flags everywhere who wears daisy dukes, the over-the-top hypermasculine gay triad, the lipstick girly girly lesbian couple, the Asian Catholic extended family with kids who have the intelligence of Stephen Hawking, the black family who all talk like valley girls, the white gangster-wannabe house with 4 single guys living in it, and some obsessive guy who bought two houses and connected them together with a hallway who tells people to get off his lawn by inviting them into his house, giving them dinner, and explaining to them in a matter of a few hours why doing things that are inconsiderate hurts people.
