Wow - great Shabbat morning at TS! Half hour of Torah study, followed by a wonderful family service which included the children in all aspects. Thanks to the many community members who showed up to support our kids as they learn to become service-goers! This was our first experiment with this format. I thought everything was great, but the Torah study was too short and the service was a bit too long (1.5 hours), even for the older kids. Have suggested to Rabbi Sruli that we make the Torah study an hour and the service 45 minutes followed by a special kiddush, which should please everyone (and how often does THAT happen, I ask you?!).
