Wow. A middle of the road ruling, maybe appropriate since marriage is governed at the state level, and forcing people to challenge their own state constitutions (even though federal appeals courts in their circuit) leaves it sort of local. Yeah, they kicked the can down the road, and still, people in 20 states are treated like second-class citizens, but I consider this very good news. Just my first take on it though.
