Wow. A young man I work with who is 23 years old put it like this (it stopped me in my tracks and made me think - it was quite upsetting)... If you make $12 an hour for 40 hours a week and 52 weeks a year thats...$24,960 (if you get paid for the week or two vacation). If you take out a low 25% taxes that costs you...$6,240 a year If you spend $150 ($21.50 a day) a week on food and groceries thats...$7,800 a year If your rent or mortgage is only $900 a month that costs you...$10,800 a year If your cell phone is $70 a month that costs you...$840 a year If your utilities and services in your phone costs you (TV $60, Internet $50, Gas and electric $200, water bill $100, home security/misc $50)...$5,520 a year If your gas for your car is $100 ($46 every two weeks for 52 weeks) a month...that costs you $1,200 a year If your insurance and misc car maintenance and repairs cost you...$1,200 a year If you have children and babysitting/child care and expenses for your child (or misc costs if your single, ex. bar tabs, cloths, entertainment, health care, etc) that costs you $600 a month that costs you...$7,200 a year THAT COSTS YOU...$40,800 just to break even. Not including any extra living, vacation, entertainment expenses, health care, putting money into retirement funds/investments. So therefore, to pay your bills with expenses like this you would have to be making $19.62/hour. So if youre only making $24,960 a year, how do you expect to get by?There is no way you can live like that. No wonder most people have to get 2 or 3 jobs. No wonder most people spend more time working with people than spending time with their own family and children. No wonder Americans are in so much debt. Cant you see something is wrong with the traditional system? And its not getting better. We are losing jobs. Something must be done. And thats why Ive made 2014 a year to help as many people as possible solve this problem for good. When you put it like this, it better wake you up.
