Wow!!! Check this out! Thank you, Kevin! Kevin Roy, folk-roots musician from Winnipeg, Manitoba, got mad and creativity won. As Kevin told us Like many, in 2012 after catching news of the Canadian Governments’ removal of funding for the Experimental Lakes Area I became quite outraged. As an avid canoeist in this area, it really struck a chord with me to think of losing such a valuable centre for ecological research. Like most musicians, when emotions are strong, songs come out. The attached video is of a song titled, ‘The Ridges of Teggau’ (Teggau Lake being one of the lakes in the system), to be released on my album titled, Taller Than The Trees. The song is in protest to the Governments’ actions, or lack-there-of to support this global facility and pristine area.
