Wow I am utterly amazed that so many people have joined this group. I keep thinking Im gonna run out of stuff to post which is why I chose not just Tahoe history, but the area surrounding the lake with a 100 radius give or take. Welcome to this history page, with out the surrounding cities and towns Lake Tahoe history would have been impossible because they are all connected including The City. Bay area people will understand which city Im referring to. The railroads are included as is the lumber industry and mining without which there would be no history. Thank you to the history authors and all the contributors as well. Our pictures tend to be 50 to 80 years old though not a hard a fast rule. We try to explain the pictures history if we can and to name our sources if possible, they like it and it gives them the respect they are due after all we all work hard on our research. Thanks again for your interest. Advertisers will be banned although history links to Ebay seem to be okay with people.
