Wow, I am well enough to actually write here. That is a miracle in itself! I am home and am loving it. I reminded myself of my dad years ago when he came home from open heart surgery. He was so happy to be alive and out of hospital and he kept telling everyone he loved them. Remember that, Esther Vanden Brink Haan. Today was quite emotional - more than I was prepared for. I got wheeled out of the hospital and cried because the weather was so beautiful and life is so beautiful, Life is precious and I love it. And I remembered my father like this years ago. It is good to be reminded of lifes gifts, Gods gifts - warm beautiful weather in late September. What a gift to walk out into after 7 days of being cooped up. And as for the weeks to come, we did receive very good news, but we still need to wait for the pathology report - so we are not through the hurdles. It is still quite something to know that it turned out to be cancer. But I thank God for all of you and all of your prayers. Where I am today is because of prayer of a community of saints. I have learned that our Christian community is such a gift and it has brought us through. It is so good to be home and be with my family. That hospital bed was getting a little much to take. So thank you again.
