Wow. I have a new appreciation for the slow lane on the freeway. Our poor tired van hugged the slow lane all the way to the portland airport at 2 AM this morning, and all the way back when we went to ship Jude to his new home. I feel like I am playing russian roulette every time I drive the van, but she is still going nonetheless. She does not get up to freeway speed (which is 70 where we live.....) so we were passed by the big trucks that used to frustrate me so much. She also has no power on hills, and cars would blow by us on the hills heading home. At one point, we were followed right into our driveway by someone living up here. I had it floored....and we were only doing 30 coming up the hill into our driveway.
