Wow I love what you are all doing. I have never doing hand patchwork and needed something to take on the road last year. This has become my holiday work so it will take a while to complete plus Im not the fastest hand sewer. Its done with 1 1/2 hexies in all shades of blues with touches of yellow. Laid out here on the white that will eventually be the joiners. I use silver silk thread that was suggested to me in single thread. The border of the quilt will eventually be 1 hexies. All done using the iron on hexi method. Dont know if it really is easier or not.
