Wow. Im shocked that some liberals have backed away from openly expressing their support of Obama and other Dems in government. Is it that important to be on the winning side all the time? Or try to appear middle-of-the-road or neutral? Principles are nothing if you back away from them when the going gets tough. Let me go on record as saying I am thrilled with whats happened under his administration. The two biggest terrorists operating in my lifetime - Bin Laden & Gaddaffi - are gone for good, I now have health insurance for my son and I that I can afford, and equal rights for women and LGBT have never made such strides. Hes a strict constitutionalist (in fact, the most conservative democrat Ive ever voted for twice) and has accomplished so much despite being actively obstructed by so many in Congress (and now perhaps the Senate, too). I think hes the best role model any American could have, being as moral, smart, and willing to work with everyone that he is. I accept the results of the last election but I will never back down on my support for the good work that democrats have accomplished. I proudly admit to being a registered democrat and I vote in every election. I have so many conservative friends whom I love dearly and I believe that like me, they have every right to voice their opinion, vote their conscious and I would never presume to berate them for their ideals. We live in America, right? But I wont be giving up mine just because Im in with the underdogs. I truly believe that working together (and we need to work together here, folks), there is nothing Americans cant accomplish.
