Wow. Im watching Game 6 of the 1993 NBA Finals between Chicago Bulls and Phoenix Suns, and just saw in 10 seconds why Charles Barkley is at the top of the greatest players who sadly never won a championship lists. He went for a layup to collapse the Bulls defense, tried to pass the ball out to Dan Majerle but it got intercepted by Michael Jordan who started running the other way... But BARKLEY CHASED DOWN JORDAN AND STOLE THE BALL FROM HIM, and laughed while he ran back towards the Suns hoop. He drove into the paint, collapsing the Bulls defense again, and passed the ball out to Majerle again for a wide-open 3-pointer. If Majerle had hit that, Barkley wouldve already looked like a genius for that sequence. But Majerle airballed it, it went bouncing towards the corner, Barkley hussled and jumped out of bounds to grab it, turned to throw it to one of his guys, realized none were nearby, so he quickly made eye-contact with the ref and called a timeout, all before he hit the ground!!! While in a game with Pippen and Jordan, Barkley was the strongest, fastest, smartest, and most determined guy on the court for that moment.
