Wow! My head is literally spinning! Ive written two huge articles about the Williams cases in the last week - one for an international journal and one for one of my favourite home-grown publications. The case and its implications are so huge I feel a bit like Im trying to stuff a huge amount of sausage mince into a very narrow casing when I try to write to a word limit. Ron really has to turn this into a book! 2,000 words just isnt enough to tell the whole bizarre story! Still, Ive tried and I hope Ive managed to make the very difficult (and potentially boring) points of Constitutional law accessible and interesting. So, work done now and, tomorrow Im off to BrisVegas en route to the Sydney Writers Festival in Sydney where Im attending the launch of Tara Moss new book, The Fictional Woman on Thursday night and, on Friday afternoon, a panel discussion featuring Tara, Tracey Spicer and Kate Ceberano. At this stage, the rest of my stay is relatively free, and, if youd like to catch up, let me know (no promises, but Ill try). Staying with David Leaf while Im in Sydney.
