Wow, Sean Sublette, on WSET, offered what I would deem a partial apology for todays forecast and its the first time I have ever heard any weather person offer one. And I think they should. Forecasting is not an exact science, I get that. Tracks move a few miles in any direction, snow totals go up or down. But this forecast was so completely wrong, it put people going to work in danger, our children in danger and for that, responsibility must be owned. Can you imagine what would happen if you or I made similar mistakes at our jobs? Wed be gone, fired and rightfully so. Ive heard reporters and anchors apologise on air for their mistakes, weather men and women should be held to the same standard. sermon over.
