Wow! Thank you my friends for posting this article on my wall as most of you know what Hightower and his crew did to me. After filing so many complaints about Hightower, and how he bullied, intimidated me try to exploit our organizations youth organizing curriculum to use for CSI, finally the truth comes out. When I said no, he and his staff at Community Action Partnership of Ramsey and Washington Counties, his board continued to harass us, and try to evict us as they have been our landlord in St. Paul, and they were originally our fiscal agent before Hightower was hired. We found that his staff took hold of some photos from one of our youth training programs, and used it as theirs so they can get money from the State. After that, Hightower tried to continue to exploit our program , and we continue to say no, and demanded for the photos to be removed. All of this issue ended up in court, and has been documented many times publicly. I remember writing to Richard Mammen, Noor and later Rebecca of MPS board asking them how can they allow this man Hightower who is on court documents for retaliating against crossingbarriers.org, and committing fraud be allowed to have such a contract without bidding or transparency? No reply! We as CrossingBarriers were blacklisted, and continued to be harassed because we spoke out. It was the most challenging time I have faced here watching all of these so called leaders watch us small nonprofit be bullied, try to destroy us, and do nothing. As an organization of color, we didnt want to be a token to foundations, school districts, charter school agendas that wanted us to be loyal to a failing system, and for sure they came after us. Hightower, Jeff Hayden all of them are soldiers to this system at expense of our children. God has been guiding us, and protecting us from these people. No matter how many plans they put forth, they will not succeed as long as its about their contracts, exploiting our tax dollars, our children or maintaining an oppressive power. They try to exploit Gods children, and they continue to loose. I hope this is a sign of the ending days of corporate liberal agenda, fake programs with out results, blacklisting community activists, educators, leaders, fake intellectual discussions on equity without knots, bolts, and wasted dollars.
