Wow. Thats a wrap, Rakkasah 2014 is over. All of the practice, rehearsals, music arranging, emailing, phone calls, and logistics were well worth it. Today was one of those days when playing for 50 minutes seems too short, I wanted to keep going, it was so much fun! Many thanks to Pangia, Al Azifoon, Silk Road Caravan, and all of the beautiful dancers for a fantastic day and evening. And topping it all off, the monster drum jam in the lobby with Susanna Goldenstein, Paige Lawrence, my teacher Mary Ellen Donald, and the hard-to-believe-anybody-could-play-that-well Faisal Zedan, later joined by the stupendously talented Greg Gregory Masaki Jenkins on clarinet. Joyous dancing and smiles ensued, a perfect way to end the festival! So many thanks that I could go on and on, so thank you all for all your passion, talent, and love
