Wow! This is really bizarre but, may well be an ominous indicator. A Roman Kokorev is the Russian Federation Representative to the Council of Europe. Yesterday, he got so carried away by Russias annexation of Crimea that he bragged on his FB page about the return or gathering of Ukraine, Moldova and all other Russian lands to Russia. He went on to include other breakaway republics of the former Soviet Union, Alaska, the Baltic countries, Poland and Finland! One is tempted to dismiss this as the inebriated celebration ravings of a Russian fascist carried away by Putins annexation victory speech yesterday, except for one thing. If one carefully watched and listened to Putins speech yesterday, he passionately said some very similar things without, of course, listing future targets of his gathering Russian lands together beyond Ukraine. He also sadly lamented how, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russians eagerly awaited a new superstate but were cheated out of this. Is it crazy? Of course. However, when Hitler raved about his master race thousand year Reich, it was equally crazy and the world dismissed what he said in speeches and what he wrote in Mein Kampf. That did not stop him from trying to conquer the world. Putin is hell bent on brazenly destabilizing the post-WW II world order in ways that suggest something more than conquering Ukraine.
