Wow! This was just emailed to me...the young lady wanted my opinion and would love for other divas to chime in as well. Hi Shauna, Im struggling with a situation with one of my friends, and would love your advice. God instructed me to help a particular friend, and I have done exactly what God asked. But, Ive realized through her actions, and things she says that she does not appreciate it, nor does she even understand the meaning of a TRUE friend. Im blunt...Ill admit that...but dont people want the truth? What should I do? The more I try to help, the more she distances herslef. Should I walk away...weve been friends a while? ★MY ADVICE★ This is all too familiar...you absolutely can NOT expect a person to give you something that they arent, dont have, and have never experienced. We are a product of our environment, and life is often our university. Most females are used to getting talked about, used, stabbed in the back, and betrayed. Hurt people, hurt people. And NO, theres nothing wrong with being blunt. Often times, people want you to stroke their egos and tell them a lie because they arent strong enough to handle the truth. She doesnt know how to TRULY be a friend, & doesnt understand how great of a friend you are. Youve been obedient to Gods instructions...to be honest, youve already answered your own question.
