Wow. Totally affirmed that Michael Bay was the worst choice to helm this franchise. Its one thing to take the cartoon of Transformers and G them out by making them look massive and gnarly and imposing and have them legit kick ass...its another thing to take the fun-loving, awkward but endearing Turtles and treat them the same way...esp when you try to maintain the campy comedy aspect. The turtles are humble and goofy, and they kickass by happenstance just as much as by intent. But this looks like some scary, badass ninja shyt yo, not all that fun n goofy. Way off target IMO...but then again, maybe its what the generations of kids after us want to see from the turtles?...Either way. I like my TMNT movies with Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer on the soundtrack, bookoos pizza references, and some terrible puns. Thats OG turtle shyt. T-U-R-T-L-E power! youtu.be/nCjsWpM9zFU
