Wow!! What a Fight Zone!!! Definitely the best yet!!! Will go over some of the results later but just want to say massive congratulations to Jamie McGuigan and Andy Ftg Chambers for their amazing victory in the main event. WHAT A FIGHT THAT WAS!!! Jamie Clarke fought absolutely amazing bagging the first three rounds on the judges score cards but Jamie McGuigan was relentless and when Clarke started to fatigue McGuigan pulled out the right punch at exactly the right time to secure the win (which we were convinced was ours by that time!! ;) ). Have to say both boys stepped it up several levels since the last fight, the atmosphere was electric and the fight lived up to its billing. These boys went at it hammer and tongs and while Clarke was a step ahead in the exchanges McGuigan made him work for it resulting in a very flat 4th round for a tired clarke. Fighters of McGuigans calibre never fail to capitalise on such a lull and so it proved with an outstanding finish to end an amazing battle. As a promoter and martial artist i have all the respect in the world for these gentleman of the sport and am proud to have been a part of such an awesome tear up. As a coach and friend i am gutted we didnt get the result but the overwhelming feeling for me is one of pride for my fighters performance. The crowd was crazy, the hype was high and for a young 19 year old lad, Mr Clarke handled it all like a true warrior. He stepped up, performed and did everyone proud just falling short with that one fantastic shot. Have to say if we had got a count i think we may have recovered and i definitely expected a second wind in the 5th for clarke which could have made for a different result but this is why i love the fight game - cos ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!! Full respect and credit to the McGuigan camp this was an English Title fight truly worthy of its status. Respect to all involved!!
