Wow! What a morning! I started early with some amazing words from God via Joyce Meyer... We can be disappointed, but we need to get reappointed. God will always give us a new beginning when things did not work out the way we planned. We need to learn to keep our hearts completely cleansed of all negative emotions because they war against our peace. Try to remember being upset takes a lot of energy and unless you have energy to waste, I suggest you learn how to stay calm, cool and collected. Negative emotions buried alive never die; they have to be thoroughly dealt with or they will keep showing up in one way or another. Rotten roots always produce rotten fruit; God uses the truth to set us free (see John 8:32) but its not the truth about someone else that sets us free, it is the truth about ourselves that we need! This all got me thinking about little things lately that didnt pan out as Id expected, they confused and disappointed me a little bit but I realize that Jesus is leading and helping me choose whats best according to Gods plan. Thanks to my faith in His Word, I have a strong, calm peace about the direction Im heading. The above paragraphs also made me reflect on past disappointments, how poorly I handled them and how they still interfere with some of my perceptions today. I know that my core foundation and root structure is not all rotten, but I do have admit to some sore spots like bruises on a banana. Today, I asked Jesus to reveal the real cause of the problems and remove the soreness from my spirit. Whats funny is that most of these blemishes in my mind go back many years, some even as far back as when I was a kid. Heres the answer I heard in my heart... Release your sore spots and bruised feelings to Me. Forgive the person, people or events which delivered the now painful memories. As you can see, you made it through just fine and all things come together in time to result in good. Continue to trust Me and know that Im always looking out for your best interests. Ah! I see. Sometimes God has to allow some painful experiences in our lives to get our hearts on straight to result in greater joy and success down the road. Today, lets trust Him and thank Him for His words of direction, confirmation and healing. Together, lets allow God to remove any negative feelings from our thoughts and lets lay claim to our wholeness in His Holy name!
