Wow! What a weekend! Left on June 28th to go to Murphy, NC. So that my dad could visit with his brother and sister and attend his 60th high school reunion. Got up this Saturday to come home. I unlock the front door, hear a hissing sound, take a step to see what it was only to realize the floor was standing in about an inch of water! I go on in to find that the water line to the ice maker had burst. The entire house was standing in water. And apparently had been that way for a while because the water had run down the steps and soaked the walls and ceiling downstairs, the walls upstairs have water lines and the carpet had started molding. The restoration people say that it will be at least Wednesday before they can get things dry (and that depends on the weather) and repairs can begin. So, for now James, Buster and are living in hotel!!
