Wow What can I say? Wow...what a night.... A sold out Rex Theater, with folks waiting in line to try and grab the last few tickets. The 15th annual D Jam raised approx $15,000 for Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Best year EVER! Most people think that I do most of the work to make D Jam happen. The reality is that there are many very kind and generous friends that help make D Jam successful. I want to first thank our sponsors, whos generous donations create a financial foundation that allows us the bring in guests musicians like Steve Kimock to perform. Thanks to Dr. Dave Lachner, Ken Israel, Dave Zubrow, Dr. Stuart Tauberg, Day Apollo Subaru, Grateful Beans, Terrapin Packaging, 91.3FM WYEP, Real Album Art, LinXone Solutions, FiAir, Touch of Grey T Shirts, Deanna Dean and Touchtown. Thanks to Mike at the Greek Gourmet in Sq Hill for providing the most tasty Hummus and other Greek specialty foods. Thanks to Jason Collins for the D Jam T shirt design. Thanks to Ben and the staff at Grey Area productions. Grey Area donated the Rex Theater, including production and security. The whole crew was professional and and made sure everything was being taken care of. This was by far the least stressful set up in the history of D Jam. Thanks to the staff of the Food Bank. Patty, Alyssa and Barb put in quite a few hours to prepare for D Jam and then came and worked the show. Again these folks took away any worries about tickets , raffles , t shirts....you were all wonderful to work with. Thanks Moondog for handling the emcee duties. This all started with you and the first D Jam at Moondogs 15 years ago. Thanks to Potter Dan, for streaming the show and also recording vids and posting them. Thanks to Andrea Pearl for adding those wonderful harmonies, the tasty percussion and creative choreography. A special thanks to my dear friends and band mates. Mike South, Mike Tony, Jill Simmons and Eric Weingrad. Not only are they wonderful musicians but wonderful people. I love you guys. I was so proud of the band and how we all played that night. I will fall short in being able to thank Steve Kimock properly. Steve just got through being on the road with Ratdog and after only a few days home agreed to drive across the state to come play with theCAUSE. The magic that comes out from his guitar is breathtaking. He plays with passion, creativity, humor and power. The band was again truly honored to play with him. I also want to thank his wife Jenn for working with me to make this possible. We missed her being there. And lastly, thanks Anne. See you at D Jam 2015. david
