Wow! Wow! Wow! This amazing story has made my evening and I just have to share. A true story shared by a real person who decided to take ACTION on something I shared on my wall. (I don’t have consent to reveal the name, so I will not). Follow the story below (from my inbox): October 20, 2012: MY BUDDING ENTREPRENEUR FRIEND: I never thought Malawi has pipo like u, who can stand and talk without fear to the nation. I followed ur speech on TV, it really motivated me so much. (The person listened to my speech during the launch of the Entrepreneurship Revolution Program) February 25, 2013 MY BUDDING ENTREPRENEUR FRIEND: Henry u posted something some weeks ago about a lady going home with K1,000 after selling sweets… I bought that idea and it is really working for me. The kind of sweets am selling r small lollipops and I am making K600 per day profit…and guess what? I have made myself a money box from a nearby carpenter, am saving every profit I get by making a deposit to that box… will be opening the box every six months! Thank you Henry and keep doing the good work. ME: Wow! That is great! But why keep the money in a box, instead of bank? Just curious MY BUDDING ENTREPRENEUR FRIEND: Deposit it at the bank now adays I will lose my money than keeping it in this box! Imagine every day I go to the bank it will take K200 from where I stay (transport). Maybe in the future will try the bank coz I am just a student and want to start something big from the sweets ME: You are very wise. Please keep it up. Don’t be discouraged. Greatness awaits you. February 28, 2013: MY BUDDING ENTREPRENEUR FRIEND: Due to demand ya sweets at xool from today will be selling two packets and make a profit of K1,200 per day…coz akumatha msanga so I have decided to add one more packet. ME: Great progress! May 9, 2014: MY BUDDING ENTREPRENEUR FRIEND: Mr Kachaje.......ask me how much I have raised from the sweets?! I guess u do remember my money box? Or maybe u completely forget it! U will be shocked. ME: How much have you raised? I still remember your story MY BUDDING ENTREPRENEUR FRIEND: From that time I have raised K300,000 plus! I have bought 2 popcorn machines from SA just waiting for a gud place for the machines….been so quite wanted to shock you! Fortunately I opened the money box Henry......but it shud have been a special ceremony of opening it, with u as a guest of honor, but I was just too excited to open the box....I thank u so much Henry now I think big from the small bzness of sweets! My eyes r wide so open! ME: Wow! K300,000??? I am impressed and extremely wowed MY BUDDING ENTREPRENEUR FRIEND: I was so quite all this time I wanted to surprise u Henry.....from the small bzness of sweets look how it has gone,2 big popcorn machines of which upon doin a survey ndikapeza malo abwino per day I can make k10000 from the two machines,and imagne saving k10000 a day,now I understand the concept why amwenye aja amapanga ma bzness tizinthu tina tingonoting`ono but they still remain in the bzness for so many yrs!
