Wow, folks, please look at your Web sites, for your businesses, your schools, your districts, your governments, and get an objective assessment of how easy it is — OR ISNT — to get the information needed. Dont pay the big bucks for consultants to tell you what you want to hear. Thats going to get you nowhere and disengage the user whose patience is tested getting even the most basic of information. Heres a freebie: If you have to explain to someone how to get where they need to go on your site, youve failed. These things need to be simple and intuitive for the myriad of audience demographics you aim to reach (and that does not include the insider who uses the site on a daily basis).
