Wow the staying power of this cold snap is impressive and difficult to swallow! The arctic chill will be reinforced a couple of times and will not move out until the middle of next week! That will give us the potential of 9 days and nights below freezing starting with last Monday when we topped out at only 31. Some sun Thursday with flurries, and then we will drop down into the single digits at night starting on Thursday night for the entire weekend. These are temperatures that we would typically see in six weeks around Christmas. Snow showers will return on Saturday after a sunny cold day on Friday. Another shot of cold air pushes down on Sunday and that should be our last one. The air mass will start to moderate on Wednesday and the end of next week does look like quite a bit warmer. The average high for the end of next week is 38 for a high and 24 degrees for a low, to be at average how nice would that be!
