Wow....this little quote kind of stirs us to think a bit---"God does not exist to solve our problems." - John Boykin And then Dallas Willard adds "We exist to stand up with God and count for something in this world." Tonight at 6:30 in the upstairs of the library (board room) Pastor Matt will be continuing a study to help us approach prayer from a perspective that is truly rooted in scripture....and then we spend a significant time in prayer. I wonder sometimes how skewed our thinking is about prayer? Is it merely a time to ask Him to fix the mess we are in? In other words, do we ONLY pray to merely ask God to "solve our problems"? What would it be like if we prayed for power to "count for something" for Him? KM
