Wow what a topic at #SatyamevJayate. Enough of criticism faced from all over.. No one gives a second thought in judging police on their professional front.. People dont know what all an individual policeman has to go through to survive in his job.. Do you know they are expected to work 24X7 with no leaves, no festivals no public holidays.. They do not even get minimal basic facility of toilets/drinking water in police station.. There is always insufficient budget of fuel for their vehicles, electricity, man power which are the basic needs for them to function properly. They do not sleep for more than 4-5 yrs daily on an avg basis. They do not get promotions. When a constable is found taking bribe from a common man, the money does not go to his home.. but it goes to his seniors, then to next seniors, then to next level and finally to the politicians.. This chain has to be maintained in order to sustain their position. They are treated as Shikari Kutte by the politicians to rule over the country. Is it only the police system who is corrupt? What about health , labour, banking, education and all other govt systems? The police act of 1861 sucks. Please dont forget a policeman is a human being first of all. If they do not get respect, how can one expect them to respect you? Period.
