Wow what a busy week! Ive held off on posting on FB about a dear lady who went home to be with the Lord early Sat. morning. Her loss is a difficult one for so many in our church. Ms. Susie would almost always answer when asked How are you? Shed say Im happy, happy, happy! She tended to say things in threes when she was sending home a point. Like cheering on her Gators, with a yeah, yeah, yeah. For many years she taught Sunday school, at one point was the church secretary and she was a charter member of Friendship Bible Church. She loved my husband, then again she loved most men in the most platonic way possible. She was full of life and full of joy. Moments before she died she had the hospital staff smiling. One of her last comments was, Im going juking! For those of you young enough not to know what that means its dancing from the time of the old juke boxes. Moments before she went to glory, I believe she could see in her minds eye the streets of Gold and could see herself dancing down them with her Lord and with her husband Robert who went before her. Ill be missing her joy, Ill be missing her comments during the Sunday morning service and especially to me, Ill be missing my biggest prayer partner. She prayed everyday for me and my writing. Shed ask me if I sold another book, or if I were writing another one, almost every week. Not having Ms. Susie at Friendship will be a huge gap in our fellowship for a while but the streets of Gold just got happier. Love you Susie, Ill see you soon.
