Wow , what a week !My sister was to have a normal outpatient laproscopic hysterectomy and go home the same day this past Tuesday. She was in recovery a little over an hour when her blood pressure started dropping extremely low and in a lot of pain. She had to be rushed back in for emergency surgery - a hematoma had developed and burst - she had to have two units of blood - a piece of fat beneath the muscle had been nicked and was bleeding. She ended up staying the night and went home on Christmas Eve. Saturday morning Ricky had to take her back to the hospital as she was in severe pain and throwing up. A CT scan was done and showed she had a hernia which had developed during the laproscopic procedure and as the hernia was closing itself a piece of her intestine got through the little hole and was pinched off. The surgeon was able to go in and release the intestine and because they got there when they did it was still alive and did not have to be cut off and restitched . Because the intestine was pinched off , nothing could pass through so it all kept coming up. Praise the Lord , everything is flowing good and my sister is back at home. She is in more pain cause she had to be cut this last time and her recovery time will be longer. We so appreciate all the prayers and calls ! She will see her gyn doctor later this week and the surgeon in two weeks. Even though my sister knows Christ as her Savior it was still a scary thing when we almost lost her Tuesday afternoon. Just a reminder that our time on this earth is like a vapor - be kind to those around you and let them know how much you love them so there are no regrets later. Thank you Lord for taking care of my sister this week and getting her through one of the scariest times of her life!
