Wow what a week its been! Me and my dad were lucky enough to attend a national NAPA meeting in Vegas so we flew out there on Wednesday. We got to stay at the Mandalay Bay and attend some great meetings. Got to meet Bill and Chase Elliott, Ron Capps, Larry McReynolds, and even Rick Hendrick. Thursday was my birthday and I received over 550 facebook messages and over 120 texts! Thanks guys! Instead of flying home after the meetings on Friday, I booked us a short vacation so I could see some places that Ive never been able to see. We rented a car and drove to the Hoover Dam first. That was incredible! If you ever get the chance to go then GO! We then headed to our hotel room in Williams,AZ. This was one of the best nights of the trip because we ate at this amazing steakhouse. This is a tiny town and you wouldnt expect a place like that. We then went to the local saloon and met some great people. I felt right at home when I walked in and Keith Whitley was on the jukebox. Saturday morning we headed up to the Grand Canyon. We left early because it was supposed to start raining around noon. We beat the rain by about an hour so I was able to see the canyon from multiple viewpoints. Pictures and words cannot describe that place! You have to see if for yourself. Its like nothing Ive ever seen. After eating an amazing breakfast at the lodge there, we headed down to Flagstaff. The drive from the canyon to Flagstaff was incredible. There was another canyon that had over 800 foot bluffs that we stopped at. For some reason I was dumb enough to stand on the edge of it for a picture and this was during 50 mph winds! We experienced 60 degrees and sunshine and 30 degrees and snow during the day also. After leaving Flagstaff we headed to our hotel in Prescott. Absolutely 5 star place! It was beautiful. There was a band playing in the bar area so we sat and watched. During a break I went to talk to the singer and it turned out that he used to work for NAPA Headquarters back in the day and we knew a lot of the same people! Small world. We left Prescott Sunday morning and headed to Phoenix. We at breakfast in a little mountain town of Jerome which is one of the most haunted places in the world supposedly. I think those old mountain people are whats scaring everybody :) We then headed to Sedona and it was beautiful! On the way from Sedona to Phoenix I received a call that our flight was cancelled because of the weather in Nashville. While I didnt mind staying another night, I was ready to get home so I was able to get us on a plane to Atlanta that landed at 9:20 eastern. We were the last 2 on the plane because the security line was so long. We made it to Atlanta, rented a car, and we were leaving town around 10:30 eastern. We made it to Monteagle before it started raining. We made it to the Nashville Airport around 2:30 central it was a ghost town. We dropped off the rental car and picked up ours in the parking lot. At exit 40 it started sleeting and it got worse the closer we got to Clarksville. We finally made it home around 4:00 this morning! This is a trip that I will never forget! Thank you NAPA for the opportunity to come out to Vegas and thank you WorldVentures for saving me so much money and letting me make memories with my dad. For the 2 rental cars and the 2 nights in hotels WorldVentures saved me $623 over Expedia and $642 over Travelocity. Thank you Marshall Stevenson, David Rhodes, and Ryan Hale for getting me in on this! Its truly a life changer. When I held that blue sign this weekend I definitely wanted my friends to be there. #ysbh
