Wow what brilliant news ...see we get around..;) De From: NannaBear on the forums... I thought you might like to know about something that happened today. The London borough where I live is currently refurbing some tenants kitchens and/or bathrooms. Today they came round to design the kitchen, show me colours etc.. and told me that I was getting a new bathroom too. HURRAH thought I... And off they went to measure it up and said I see you have a bath lift, and a frame around the toilet. I said yes, given to me by OT some years ago as I am registered disabled. I was asked if i could prove that to them. (Yes, really). Right next to me was a 47 page pile of copies that i had recently sent to DWP for ESA. ..so handed them to the lady and said take your pick. She glanced through, then said How efficient..did you type this up? I informed her that No, not physically, but I did dictate for FIGHTBACK to handle for me. She looked like I had struck her with a cattle prod.. and said Fightback4justice? The people in Manchester?. I confirmed that yes, thats right, the very same.., and stated how Fightback literaly live up to that name, fighting for those that cannot.. due to illness, disability etc..She excused herself.. left the room, and came back less than 5 minutes later saying ive made a phone call, and you wont be getting a new bathroom, were gutting it and fitting a wet room for you. It will be done within the next 3 months.Hows that sound?! Fanbloodytastic actually! haha So Michelle and team, please adopt the pose A la he-man, and yell BY THE POWER OF FIGHTBACK... WE HAVE THE POWER!! Thank you!! xxx
