Wow...when it rain it doesnt just pour...it floods. Spent 12 hours travelling home by air from New Brunswick after spending 9 days at my cousins bedside who was involved in a tragic car accident in which she sustained a devastating spinal cord injury... Only to arrive home to my sweet sweet man terribly sick. So, rushed him to the emergency....blood work, IV, ct scan, fluids and strong medications later and I brought him home to finish recovering him..only to find my dear cat Mowgli severely sick and half alive. So...packed him up and rushed him to the vet where he underwent numerous tests... Also had an IV and fluids..he was admitted for the night. Returned to the vet this morning to receive even more bad news...Mowgli has terminal cancer...no treatment options. Fortunately the IV fluid perked him up enough that we were able to bring him home to spend the last of his days enjoying the comforts of his familiar surroundings. I am exhausted emotionally and physically. For whatever reason the universe has decided that now is the time to test my human capacity for pain and sadness. Well guess what universe...you aint seen nothing yet...Im built like an armoured brick shit house...your shit stings but I wont fold. I keep reminding myself to bend with these gale force winds...for a tree that does not bend in the wind eventually breaks. So my friends, I hope this reminds you to stop and enjoy the precious beautiful moments today and tell your loved ones how much you really love them...for one day the universe might decide its your day to be tested. That is all...
