Wow, who knew, Im him. Who am I, the person of whom Im referring to you may ask? Im that guy that looks you in the eye as we pass in the train station, on the street, in the elevator. Im the guy who doesnt look at the pavement or at some imaginary object so as to not have to acknowledge the humans all around. Im the guy who realizes that human interaction no matter how insignificant it may seem is an important part to making this world, well livable. It can be such a cold hostile environment in which to be human. But all we have to do is start by acknowledging the existence of others.To the woman I startled yesterday when I hoped down from the train steps to help her with her luggage, and you said oh you surprised me, I didnt expect that, thank you. She shouldnt be surprised, its a pretty basic human thing to do. So, if I make you nervous and fear the human interaction, by all means look away. Because I wont.
