Wrapping Up Most of us know that in some states we can turn in our cans for that 5 cent deposit. And others might know of places where we can turn in stuff like copper and brass and stuff. Yet, how many of us are really aware of how much money can be made, today, by taking things apart and selling their parts? I once read a book by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen, entitled, The One Minute Millionaire. In it, they spoke about the numerous ways that you could approach and existing idea, concept, or invention and improve upon it enough to make money on it. Whys this important?, I can hear you asking. Its important because everyone - and I mean EVERYONE is affected by the influence of money. A friend of mine once remarked that society is like a Quiche - that yummy, egg-y dish. Money, or more precisely, currency, could be seen as the gluey stuff that holds society together - much like the eggs hold that Quiche together. You may have bacon or spinach or mushroom, or some such other ingredient; but they arent whats holding it all together...its the eggs - its the currency. But, Im here to say that once you begin to master the game of moving currency - youre life gets much, much easier. You see, currency is simply a tangible measurement of energy. In fact, I would go as far as to state that currency can be used as a very real and exact yardstick - telling you how youre moving your energy - how youre feeling - how youre relationships are going. I want to share just ONE idea I had for gaining a little mastery over the flow of currency: Take things apart and sell them separately. Thats it. Just take them apart. Often, you can get more money when you divide a thing into parts. For an example, take a car. Normally, a junky car might go for, say, $800 - my Ford Tempo piecea-crap 88, did, back in my high school days, so we might have to adjust the amount slightly; but lets just say for the sake of argument, that thats what you could get for your junky car. Take it apart and what do you get? Battery, engine, seats, scrap metal, catalytic converter, muffler, radio or cd player, doors, windshield, windows, mirror, tires, floor mats - I could go on and on, but Ill stop here and just point something out that should be obvious. The tires, alone, each one could be $50. per tire. Four of them gets you $200 bucks. Now check me if Im wrong, here, but thats already 1/4 the price of the car; and you only sold, what? - 4 out of how many possible things that could come out of it, right? Lets say for the sake of argument, that there are a total of 50 things that you could sell, once the car is dismantled. That leaves you with 46 items. Even if you only got $30 from the remaining items; youd still have made the $200 + (46 items * $30) *scratching head and licking lips while figuring this out in head* - $1,480 - the original $800 you paid for it = $680! Wow. Now. Now, do that with ten cars, and you just paid for your brand NEW car in cash - or just gave a pretty large down payment for a home. Imagine that. Imagine bigger. ~ZenNinja
