Writers never really die. They may pass on from one door to the next, but much of their presence remains with us like the faint reflections of lightning in our eyes. They never stray far from the reach of our arms, the ramblings of our soul, from hearts they wrenched with their stories. The wounds they leave behind beg for us to carry on, to hope for better things, to look at life in the same vein as they did—full of frills and magic. The pain proves we are alive. We run from this life to tales of fiction for one good reason: that from a magical scale we could learn more and live more. Their passing is a mere transferring of the light from their hands to our own, reminding us that in whatever madhouse we find ourselves in we can relish each scene with an act of the imagination.
