Writing the Sissy Did It book series with my daughter Emily Spurlock is so much fun! We especially like it when we get to incorporate our friends in our creation. Our friend, Ivy Carmichael is the inspiration behind the LOVE filled Ivy plant friend to Sissy in books 1 & 2. Keeping with tradition, in book 2, "In a Funk? Create with Junk! Sissy Did It!", we named one of our sweet little monkey characters, Haileigh. Haileigh is the granddaughter of my longtime, childhood friend, Dawn Dotson. Emily and I are writing our next book, which will be a Halloween themed book... Soon the world will know which one of our friends will make an appearance in there! Perhaps, it could be you!
